The cities and towns of the Empire are built from a variety of materials, from stone in the richer western areas, to wood in the eastern areas and the fortresses in Ostland near the forests. The largest and most important Imperial cities are Altdorf, Nuln, Middenheim and Talabheim.
Altdorf is the seat of the Emperor, and capital of the Empire.
Nuln houses older places of learning and the Imperial Gunnery School.
Middenheim is the city of the White Wolf, built on a pinnacle of rock.
Talabheim is known as the Eye of the Forest, being situated in the middle of the Great Forest.
The area around the upper Aver is known as the Moot. This is the provincial homeland of the halflings. They rule themselves, and provide troops for the Imperial armies. Being near the mountains, Night Goblins raid the area. A border guard watch for raiders and double as troops in wartime.
