Nuln is the second biggest city in
Reikland and is also situated on the Reik. It is an older seat of
learning, and favoured over Altdorf by the more academic and
old-fashioned. Nuln is the focus of the entire economy of the
southern Reikland, where travellers converge from Wissenland,
Stirland and Averland. Because the Reik cannot be bridged north
of Nuln, the city forms a natural meeting point. The bridge at
Nuln is one of the wonders of the Old World, with a centre
section that can be lowered and raised for defense, and is the
last before the sea.
Nuln is the home of the Imperial Gunnery School, where artillery is cast and men learn the art of ballistics. They study the problems associated with the artillery. Thanks to their efforts, the Imperial army includes cannons far superior to those of other races.
