Mandred is assasinated. No agreement is reached as to the
next Emperor and the provinces divide and become
self-governing. War between Talabecland and Stirland over

The Ottilia of Talabecland declares herself Empress.
For the next few hundred years there are two Emperors,
the Count of Talabecland and the elected Emperor. |

The Count of Middenheim proclaims himself Emperor so
there are now three Emperors. None have anyone loyal to
them so rule as independent states. |

The Orc Warlord Gorbad Ironclaw invades the Empire |

Magritta of Marienburg is elected Emperor, but the
Grand Theogonist of Sigmar refuses to acknowledge the
appointment. The Imperial system is effectively ended.
The lands become increasingly divided as time passes and
there are no Emperors. Individual cities look towards
their own governments and the Burgomeisters gain power. |

Wars of
the Vampire Counts begin. Ostermark is devastated by Vlad
von Carstein, the first Vampire Count of Sylvania. Undead
armies rampage between Stirland and the northern border. |

The Battle of Hel Fen. Mandred von Carstein, the last
Vampire Count, and his Undead hordes are destroyed. |

The Great War against Chaos begins. The forces of
Chaos march across the Lynsk and besiege Praag, which
falls in the winter of 2302-2303. |

Magnus the Pious meets and defeats the Chaos armies
at the gates of Kislev. |

Magnus the Pious of Nuln elected Emperor. Rebuilding
of the Empire. Magnus establishes his court at Nuln. |

Marienburg secedes from the Empire. The Burgomeisters
secure their independence in return for a large amount of
Marienburger gold. A scandal ensues and Emperor Dieter IV
