Talabheim lies in the center of the Great
Forest. For this reason it is sometimes called the Eye of the
Forest. Like the centre of a storm, it is calm amongst the rough
forest. The city lies on the route between the Reikland and
Kislev.
The citadel is built in a huge shallow crater, many miles across, with a large wall around the rim. The rock wall has been built up to fortify the town. The extensive land inside includes farms as well as the city itself.
The river Talabec flows around the outside of the crater. At one point where it comes near the southern rim, there is a harbour settlement called Talagaad. From the deep harbour a narrow road climbs the crater and enters a tunnel through the rock. This is the sole entry into the citadel, and is heavily guarded at either end. The combination of natural and man-made defences make Talabheim virtually impregnable.
